Initial Assessment
At first, our dentists conduct a detailed examination of the tooth. They assess the extent of decay or damage and create an appropriate treatment plan.
Preparation
The affected area of the tooth is numbed with local anesthesia to ensure the patient's comfort. The dentist then removes the decayed or damaged portion of the tooth for cavity preparation.
Etching and Bonding
After the tooth preparation, we etch the surface with a mild acidic solution to create a rough texture. Then we apply the composite dental bonding to the prepared area.
Placement of Composite Resin
The dentists then carefully apply layers of tooth-colored composite resin to the prepared tooth. For this layering, it is also known as the composite layering technique.
Finishing and Polishing
Once the composite filling is in place, the dentist trims and shapes it to ensure proper bite alignment and blend. Then polishing is done for further enhancement.
